Coronary Artery Bypass Graft
Recent advances have demonstrated that, by lining the inside of small diameter engineered tissue tubes with a patient’s own living endothelial cells, a patient specific living blood vessel can been created which may be suitable for coronary artery bypass grafts.
In vitro studies have demonstrated that endothelial cells can be grown on Bio Nova's scaffolds and they remain firmly attached when subjected to physiological flow conditions.
