The first choice when the vein is not available When the saphenous vein is not available or when an autologous fistula cannot be made Omniflow®II is the natural choice of vascular prosthesis.
Combining the bio- and haemocompatibility of the biological collagenous tissue with the strength and durability of the reinforcing polyester mesh, the resulting composite biosynthetic material provides an unbeaten combination of long-term patency, durability and resistance to infections.

Excellent clinical performance
Omniflow®II provides long-term performance in both peripheral bypass and AV access appliciatons. With higher patency and lower rates of infection, Omniflow®II requires fewer interventions to maintain patency. This is more cost-effective to the health care system and beneficial to the patient, who is often elderly with multiple diseases and reduced operability.
In AV access applications, Omniflow®II is easy to puncture and rapidly achieves high flow rates. Combined with good patency and resistance to infection it is cost-effective and easy to use, including for home dialysis patients.

Superior handling Omniflow®II provides not only excellent performance, but also excellent technical properties.
Omniflow®II handles like a saphenous vein and can be cut, trimmed and shaped with ease. Omniflow®II can be anastomosed directly to a peripheral vein and there is no need for cuffs, patches or jump grafts.
The tissue wall of Omniflow®II is self-sealing and non-porous. No seeping or suture line bleeding occurs and haemostasis is rapid. This property is even more valuable during dialysis when haemostasis is rapidly achieved after puncturing.
Preoperative preparation is simple and consist of a few simple steps: - Rinse the prosthesis with at least 2x 20 ml sterile saline - Incubate the prosthesis with 50,000 IE of heparin for 10 minutes - Drain the heparin Please refer to the Instructions for use for more detailed instructions.
No special anti-coagulation or anti-platelet aggregation protocol is needed. Omniflow®II can be used with or without any type of anti-coagulation. This allows the local therapy practice to be followed and there is no contra-indication to use Omniflow®II in patients who are already on oral anti-coagulants.
Versatile and Safe Omniflow® has been successfully used in a wide range of patients, graft positions and indications. Omniflow® has been used extensively in above-knee, below-knee and femorocrural vascular surgery and experience in arteriovenous access demonstrates that Omniflow® is effective and provides long term performance. Many of the published Omniflow® studies cover high-risk patients with severe ischemia (Fontaine stages III or IV), patients who have had previous graft failure or patients in very poor general condition.
